ONE OF MANY LIFE VERSES

So, we
 fix our eyes

not on what is seen but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18

Where is God Working?

Go on a GodHunt

THEN, write in, and tell me
about it.

(videos, songs, sermons, photos, etc.).

Cathy and I met each other while ministering among developmentally-disabled adults in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We were married eight months later and have served in public ministry together ever since. Starting as volunteer workers in Youth Ministry and Sunday School, God rewarded our faithfulness by opening a new door to serve in an inner-city ministry called Praise Baptist Church. We lived at the church's Outreach site called Alpha and Omega Ministries. We invested 4.5 years of our lives among hundreds of individuals there.

We moved from Michigan to California with our four children in 1993. I attended Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary from 93-96 and earned a Masters of Divinity Degree (while serving as pastor of Snyder Lane Baptist Church in Rohnert Park, California).

From 1996-2006, I was the pastor of First Baptist Church of Galt, California. We enjoyed significant fruit of long-term ministry during our ten years of service. Prompted and moved by the Spirit of the Lord, we began our ministry at Bell Road Baptist Church in January, 2007. We continue to look forward to a vibrant ministry as we proceed in our third year of service from Auburn to the ends of the earth.

Cathy and I are both musicians, support creativity of all sorts, and really enjoy a good laugh. Both of us were once kids, so we have a strong belief that church should be a fun place for children of all ages.

As I write and publish, I openly share our lives and our vision in my daily journal. I hope you'll take some time to get to know us through it.

Add this link as a favorite and stop by everyday! My undergraduate degree (earned before my conversion) was in Audio-Visual production. Therefore, I have a strong desire to build a Creative Arts Team who will be able to produce high-quality, creative teachings through song, slideshow, video, sermon in the context of local ministry at Bell Road Baptist Church.

I gave my life to Jesus 26 years ago. I had been an agnostic for most of my life so my calling as a Christian is to reach out to others who don't yet have a personal relationship with God.

I think that it is good for believers to encourage each other to be ourselves.
I'm hopeful that God will do something great among us as we get to know and to trust each other.
