I Wanna Be Ready
One of these days, I know I’m gonna die. Ooh … I
… I wanna be ready.
Although I, like every other man who’s walked the earth before,
I’m gonna die knowing that I could have done so much
more.
But that’s what’s so good about Salvation,
even though I’m held accountable for all I’ve said and
done -- every idle word and action--
I still believe that Jesus is the Christ, and I believe in everlasting life.
But how will I justify the wasted times, if He asks me:
“Why didn’t you feed me? …. I was hungry?”
“Why didn’t you visit me? …. I was lonely?”
“You said you loved me but … when did you show me?”
“You know you’ve used My Name, but how well, do you know me?”

“I am
hungry …. won’t you feed me? ”
“I’m so lonely …. won’t you visit me. ”
“You say you love me …. oh won’t you show me. ”
“You know you’ve used my name, but
how well, do you know me? ”
One of these days you know you’re gonna die, just
like I will. Will you be ready?
Will you be ready to meet your Maker?
Will you be ready to meet your Creator? Will you be ready?
I wanna
be ready. Will you be ready?
I wanna be ready. I wanna
be found loving my neighbor,
I wanna be found trusting my Savior. Ready…..
