To the Congregation at Bell Road Baptist Church:

My wife, Brenda, and I would like to thank you all for your prayers and support throughout the last year. My father-in-law Joseph Martin has been very sick and in and out of the hospital several times. He has now gone to be with the Lord. We wanted to let you all know what a special Pastor we have.

Pastor Rob, his wife Cathy, and Pastor Matt have all visited over the past several months to uplift and help us to bear our burdens. Pastor Rob and Cathy came by one day with their guitar and sang old hymns in our front room for my father-in-law Joe. As he laid there fighting for life and listened tears came down his face. This was a touching moment for him and the family, as we knew his time was near.

Pastor Rob and Pastor Matt came by after his passing and prayed with the family as each of us prayed to the Lord of our loss. It was an awesome Spirit-filled, Holy time that helped each one of us to grieve. This past Wednesday we laid Joe to rest and Pastor Rob performed the ceremony for us. Pastor Rob is extremely spiritually gifted in this area and spoke as if he knew Joe for years. As he gave a salvation message and spoke of the life of Joe, many hearts were touched. After the service several people commented to the family of the passion and love of his message.

The Martin and Ray families would like to thank Pastor Rob for your love and support through this difficult time. We pray that God will continue to give you wisdom, strength and the passion for his Word. We would also like to thank Gill and Madelyn McAlister for their prayers and support since we have come to the church. We know there were so many praying for us that we don't even know and would like to thank you also.
